Night Of The Fanzines

Night Of The Fanzines (NOTF) is the event that GIGANTIC gallery has been dedicating since 2015 to low-cost, independent, "homemade" publications, created with passion and minimal expense.

Before the internet and social media, groups of people with shared interests exchanged news or expressed their passions by publishing small, homemade magazines, either photocopied or cyclostyled: fanzines (a contraction for "fan club magazine").

Although their original function has become obsolete, today self-published works have turned into an exciting expressive tool for photographers, graphic designers, illustrators, and artists seeking a physical medium to publish their work.

In the digital era, GIGANTIC aims to promote the creation of these small paper works and support a return to their original characteristics: photocopied pages, staple binding, laser print, standard formats (A4 and A5)...
